Statement
My Mind Check, Term 4 2026
My Mind Check is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education until the end of the 2026 school year, and we’ll continue supporting schools until the end of Term 4. Following this, My Mind Check will no longer be available. Â
Thank you to the schools that have worked with us this year. It has been our pleasure to support educators and students during this special funding period.Â
What this means for schools:Â
- My Mind Check will continue to operate as normal until the end of Term 4.Â
- No changes to schools’ planned check-ins or platform access this term.Â
- Our School Support Team remains available until 4pm on Friday 18 December 2026. Â
We recommend schools use this time to complete any outstanding actions from the follow-up framework and record check-in outcomes in their student management systems.Â
Continuing support from Macquarie UniversityÂ
My Mind Check has successfully demonstrated the value of early intervention in student mental health. More than 320 schools and 50,000+ student check-ins across all states, territories, and education sectors have benefited from evidence-based, proactive mental health insights. This success has been possible because of schools’ dedication to student wellbeing.Â
Macquarie University is exploring a range of options to continue offering My Mind Check beyond 2026 and continues to engage with the Australian Government Department of Education on this. Â
Macquarie University continues to offer alternative evidence-based programs for schools, including Cool Kids for students of all year levels experiencing anxiety and Study Without Stress for high school students experiencing study stress.
