Built to integrate into your school's wellbeing framework

My Mind Check is designed to seamlessly integrate into your school’s wellbeing framework, providing a simple yet powerful way to support your students. Here’s how our free, evidence-based digital tool and website empowers your school.

The check-in process using My Mind Check

Each student logs in to a unique session, each time they do a check-in. These sessions occur during school time with a staff member supervising.

Student outcomes are available to nominated school staff immediately at both a whole school and individual student level.

Students are asked to respond to a range of simple questions. Student responses to specific questions are never shared to anyone. Evidence has suggested that just the process of conducting check-ins promotes student voice and positive outcomes as a consequence.

The check-in asks simple questions aligned with evidence based mental health domains. Depending on the package used by the school, domains include anxiety, depression, and mood, with the option of including peer victimisation and body image. Questions also include relevant protective factors.

Staff nominated by your school can review both whole-school insights and individual student information. This allows schools to better understand each individual student while also gaining data-driven insights that inform and guide your school’s wellbeing initiative and programs.

Clear and concise student outcomes support nominated staff in identifying any follow up activities with students or caregivers.

Choose the right package for your school

Check-ins take approx. 10-15 mins to complete and differ by student year group:

  • Foundation – Year 3: Students are shown visual presentations of 2 images and are given the choice to select the option that best reflects them.
  • Years 4 & 5 and Years 6-12: Students are asked a series of questions, with a range of possible answers for them to select from. Schools can also add optional domains such as Body Image/Eating Difficulties and Peer Victimisation for these year levels.

Basic demographic information is provided by schools and students. Students will be asked additional questions to improve the tool and collect student feedback about check-ins. Outcomes from these questions will not be reported to schools – they aren’t required to follow up.
